Our Company
Welcome to The Green School Shop online uniform store. We first opened as a second-hand uniform shop in 2015 in St Ives, Cambridgeshire and since then our commitment to making school uniform affordable, available and fit for purpose has led to us becoming the official stockist for a growing number of schools. From our recycling roots we work hard to maintain an ethical and environmental focus across our business. If you can’t find what you need in our online store, we’d love to see you in our St Ives shop. Here you will find a wider range of products (both new and ‘new to you’) and our personal fitting service.

SUSAN
What this lady doesn’t know about the School Uniform world isn’t worth knowing.Master at making customers feel welcome and that they’ve known her for years. Inspirer, motivator, empowerer, visionary and rather mischievously a biscuit or cake enabler.
Susan opened The Green School shop in Cromwell Mews in Aug 2015 – following a career in the corporate world and more recently as a teacher – the dream of starting her own business to combine the two became reality. Initially funded by her private tuition income, the business has gone from strength to strength and now occupies unique town-centre premises.
Exciting times ahead.

“Private fitting appointments – especially when the young person is taking their first (or next!) big step on their education journey. It is so important that children feel comfortable in themselves to be able to be the best that they can be.”

Adores musicals and can often be heard belting out a number or two. Pom Poms, the word yippeeeeeeeee, excessive and unnecessary vowel use when writing, and endless cups of tea but always with a biscuit.
Dislikes
Felt tip pens without lids on, mixed Playdoh colours and people that don’t say “thank you” when you hold a door open for them.
What do you like most about your job?
“Meeting people and talking with customers, especially when you end up discussing the similar behaviours of your children. That everyday is different. Working for an organisation that cares about the planet and does what it can to minimise our impact on the environment.”
